Supporting Young People from Eastern Europe During Brexit

This event will bring together practitioners and policymakers working with young people born in Central and Eastern Europe through key services (education, leisure, health). It will focus on exploring best practices in supporting young people from CEE with the challenges they are experiencing, in their schools and wider communities, since the EU Referendum result and the ongoing Brexit negotiations.

The event will use a workshop format. The workshop sessions will present findings from the Here to Stay? project which focuses on issues of citizenship, identity and belonging among settled young people from Centre and Eastern European countries living now in the UK. It will focuss on the key challenges in relation to four areas:

-Identity and Belonging
-Educational Experiences and Opportunities
-Racism and Citizenship
-Precarity and Future Plans
